A1 Roofing Colchester

Slate roof tiles have been a popular choice for homeowners in Essex and beyond for centuries, and it's easy to see why. Not only do they offer a timeless, classic look, but they're also incredibly durable and can last for decades with proper maintenance.

Slate is a type of metamorphic rock that's formed from shale and is prized for its unique combination of strength, durability, and beauty. It's available in a range of colors, from deep blues and greys to rich purples and greens, making it a versatile choice for any style of home.

When it comes to slate roof tiles, quality is key. At Mikra Services, we only use the highest-quality slate tiles from trusted manufacturers, including Welsh Slate and Redland. Our slate tiles are carefully selected for their durability, weather resistance, and aesthetic appeal.
The price of slate roof tiles in Essex can vary depending on the quality, size, and type of tile you choose. Here are some approximate prices for new slate roof tiles:

• Welsh Slate tiles: £60-£120 per square meter (inc. VAT)
• Redland Slate tiles: £50-£100 per square meter (inc. VAT)
• Reclaimed Slate tiles: £80-£150 per square meter (inc. VAT)

If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, reclaimed slate tiles may be the way to go. Reclaimed slate tiles are salvaged from old buildings and can offer a unique, characterful look that's hard to replicate with new tiles. At Mikra Services, we can source high-quality reclaimed slate tiles for your project.

All prices mentioned above are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax). We understand that VAT can be a significant factor in the overall cost of your project, so we're happy to provide transparent pricing that includes all applicable taxes.

In some cases, you may be eligible for VAT-exempt or reduced-VAT pricing on your slate roof tiles. For example, if you're a charity or a non-profit organization, you may be eligible for VAT-exempt pricing. We can help you navigate the complexities of VAT and ensure that you're getting the best possible price for your project.
